In the month of holy Ramadan I wish you all a great & prosperous life full of khir, dry fruits & siwayee 🙂
In this happy time there are many such things which hurts a lot & many times make me laugh. Some such incidents happened recently.
The recent update is statement of a well known Bollywood actor, Congress spokesperson & Member of Parliament. Yes, you guessed right, he is Mr.Raj Babbar. Aahh! his name reminds me of beautiful song, sung by legendary singer Jagjit singh-“Hothon se chhoo lo tum, mera geet amar kar do…”. Sorry 😉 I moved away from the point, I was talking about “THE” statement.
He quoted- “It is possible to have full meal at Rs 12 in Mumbai & at Rs 5 in Delhi”.
So Mr.Babbar, really!!! are you serious???
At the time where even in a non-metro city a single cup of Tea costs Rs 10 then how is it possible to have a full day meal in Rs 12 & especially in Mumbai??? Should I laugh or cry on this? He also said not to count rising price of Tomatoes in this Rs 12. So you think Tomato is not essential part of any kitchen? Some time back a very similar statement was given by C.M. of Delhi who was supported even by Chairperson of Congress.
My suggestion to these great politicians is-“Sir/Madam Do one thing just pick a jute bag & go to market (with Rs 12 only) & try to buy some grocery just for “your” one day meal”. Are you OK with this?
I have an another option also, let’s make a deal… You take Rs 1000/month from me which is more than Rs 30/day (around 2 & a half times of “YOUR” Rs 12) & show me how can you survive?
I don’t want to write more about such rubbish things or I am LOLing out … I think I am confused 😛
But I request our politicians & other well known personalities who meant something to our society, to please don’t make a joke of people & their poverty & have some respect for them not in your heart but at least in your words.
